Property Litigation Solicitor.
My client is a high profile firm that is performing exceptionally well in the current climate and is now looking to strengthen its Litigation department in Nottingham with the appointment of a solicitor or legal executive capable of handling high-grade work, with particular reference to property litigation.
The firm, that sits in the Top 200 nationwide and has a national reach, enjoys visibility across many sectors but has a proven reputation within agricultural matters and food production generally. The client base is a mixture of owner managed businesses and SME’s.
You should be a solicitor or legal executive with upwards of 4 years' PQE and have a particular interest in property litigation. There will be a varied caseload within this sector and you will not need to have any following or network of your own. It is more important that you have excellent technical skills and are committed to this challenging yet rewarding area of law.
As a property litigation solicitor, you can expect to handle a wide range of contentious matters including landlord and tenant (residential, commercial and agricultural tenancies acting for both landlord and tenant), agricultural disputes, boundary disputes, adverse possession, TOLATA claims, possession claims against travellers, restrictive covenant and easement issues including injunctions.
You can also expect some banking litigation and also professional negligence claims, partnership and contract disputes, insolvency matters, construction and engineering matters and rural payment agency appeals.
The firm is a meritocracy and can offer real career paths moving forward.
The firm is commercially minded but without the demands of certain firms who require you to work very long hours. You can progress your own ideas, the firm has their own marketing and business development people to assist you, and you will be granted autonomy and trust to develop your market in the way you wish it to progress.
Perhaps you are at a city or large regional firm and you are finding the path to partnership is blocked. This could be a move to allow you to progress in your own way.
Applications from relocators will be considered, however, you should be able to demonstrate a commitment to live and work in the area.
On offer are a highly competitive salary and a range of superb perks and benefits associated with a firm that values its staff.
Shortlisting now for this not to be missed property litigation opportunity in Nottingham.
